Factors of Career success.

Career is known as a long term of work related to a person’s experience and positions that an individual undertakes to achieve their goals and aspiration. It has some various aspect like:

  • The specific job or profession a person pursues.
  • The advancement or growth an individual experiences in their career such as promotion or new roles
  • The sense of your purpose and filfullment an individual derives from he or she’s work.

A career can be influenced by various factors such as,

  • When you align your work with your passion and values.
  • Knowing your strength and talents.
  • Acquiring relevant knowledge and getting certificate.
  • Setting and working towards your career objectives.
  • Putting your work experience together and building a professional network.
  • Having a clear understand of what you want to achieve in your career and setting specific goal.
  • Staying up to date with industry trends and continue developing new skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure you build and maintain a strong professional network.
  • Being able to adapt to change and bounce back from set-backs, and maintaining a positive attitude in the challenges you faced.
  • Demonstrating a strong work passion including being diligent, punctual, organized and accountable for your work.
  • Having a deep understanding of your strength, weakness, value and motivation reflecting on your progress and areas you should improve on.

There are ways to pinpoint your perfect career which are:

  • You should understand and identify your values is crucial in funding a career that aligns with what is important to you, you can as well ask yourself some questions like: a) What matters the most to you in a career (creativity or helping others). b) What value you actually want get in your professional life (integrity – making sure you stand by your words, ensuring that your yes is your yes and your no is your no) or (teamwork- collaborating/working with others to achieve a good creative outcome).
  • Consider what activities you enjoy doing in your free time and how they might relate to your career. You should ask yourself some questions like: a) What subject or course you find interesting and always willing to learn about. B) What activities you do that makes you engaged and interested such as designing or writing.
  • You should have an experience in careers that you find interesting. It gives you a deeper understanding or what works and what does not work, It helps you to know your own perfect career.
  • Trying out different careers that matches with your values, skill, knowledge, identity and personality. You should question yourself to know the job responsibilities and basic requirements, you should know if there are growth opportunities and know the range of salary.
  • Make research of your including your soft skill and hard skill. You should know your strength and talents, what skill you have developed basic interest for over time that could be valuable in career.
  • You should understand about your own personality trait which can help you identify some careers that fit your personality. You should be able to tell if you are an introvert or extrovert ,Knowing if you will prefer a structured or flexible work environment.
