I used to think skincare was just about having a smooth and beautiful face, but as I started learning more about it, I realized that skincare is actually about taking care of your skin and keeping it healthy.
Our skin is the largest organ in the body, and it is exposed to so many things every day. From sunlight and dust to sweat, makeup and different products we use, our skin goes through a lot. That is why we should pay attention to how we treat it.
One thing I have also learned is that you don’t have to use expensive products before you can take care of your skin. Sometimes, the simple things matter. Washing your face properly, keeping your skin moisturized, drinking enough water, getting enough sleep and protecting your skin from too much sun can make a difference.
Another important thing is knowing your skin type. What works for one person may not work for another person. Someone with oily skin may need different products from someone with dry or sensitive skin. So before buying every skincare product you see online, it is better to understand what your skin actually needs.
And please, don’t feel pressured because of what you see on social media. Perfect skin does not exist. Pimples, dark spots and other skin concerns are normal, and having them doesn’t make you less beautiful.
For me, skincare is not about trying to change who you are. It is about caring for the skin you already have and becoming more comfortable with yourself.
Your skin deserves care too.
